Functions and Responsibilities of Institution’s Research Ethics Committee (IREC):
- Advise the Academic Council on research ethics and policy compliance.
- Promote ethical research practices among faculty, researchers, and students.
- Review and recommend policies to strengthen research integrity.
- Ensure compliance with ethical standards for research projects.
- Advise on ethical aspects of research funding and collaborations.
- Review cases of research misconduct and recommend appropriate action.
- Promote awareness of research ethics through training and outreach.
- Monitor emerging ethical issues and recommend corrective measures.
