Eligibility criteria for Maharashtra State Candidate and Outside Maharashtra State First Year Candidate: Download

First Year - Engineering or Technology ( 4 years duration )

(1) Maharashtra State Candidature Candidate.-

The candidate,-

  1. (i) should be a citizen of India;
  2. (ii) should have Passed 10+2 examination or its equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or Technical Vocational subject or Computer Science or Information Technology or Informatics Practices or Agriculture or Engineering Graphics or Business Studies or Electronics or Entrepreneurship and obtained at least forty five per cent marks (at least forty per cent marks, in case of Reserved categories, Economically Weaker Section and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to the Maharashtra State only) in the above subjects taken together and The Candidate should have appeared in all the subjects in PCM MHT-CET 2026 and obtained non zero score in PCM MHT-CET 2026 conducted by the Competent Authority;

    (There candidates are eligible to apply for all 29 major disciplines declared by AICTE)

OR

  1. (iii) Should have passed 10+2 examination or its equivalent examination with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with the Mathematics or Biotechnology or Biology or Technical Vocational subject or Computer Science or Information Technology or Informatics Practices or Agriculture or Engineering Graphics or Business Studies or Electronics or Entrepreneurship as one of the subject and obtained at least forty five per cent marks (at least forty per cent marks, in case of Reserved categories, Economically Weaker Section and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to the Maharashtra State only) in the above subjects taken together and the candidate should have appeared in all the subjects in MHT-CET 2026 and obtained non zero score in Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB) MHT-CET 2026 conducted by the Competent Authority is eligible for admission to any of the following Courses under major disciplines declared by concerned Appropriate Authority or All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), namely:-
    • (a) Agriculture Engineering;
    • (b) Biotechnology;
    • (c) Food Engineering;
    • (d) Leather Technology;
    • (e) Packaging Technology;
    • (f) Pharmaceutical Engineering;
    • (g) Printing Engineering;
    • (h) Fashion Technology; or
    • (i) Textile Chemistry;

OR

  1. (iv) Should have passed minimum three years Diploma in Engineering and Technology and obtained at least forty five per cent marks (at least forty per cent marks, in case of Reserved categories, Economically Weaker Section and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to the Maharashtra State only) ;
  2. (v) Passed three years Diploma of Vocation (D.Voc.) stream in the same or allied sector;

(2) All India Candidature Candidates, Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir and Union Territory of Ladakh Migrant Candidature Candidates.-

The candidate,-

  1. (i) should be a citizen of India ;
  2. (ii) should have passed 10+2 examination or its equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or Technical Vocational subject or Computer Science or Information Technology or Informatics Practices or Agriculture or Engineering Graphics or Business Studies or Electronics or Entrepreneurship and obtained at least forty five per cent. marks (at least forty per cent. marks, in case of Reserved categories, Economically Weaker Section and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only) in the above subjects taken together and obtained non zero positive score in Joint Entrance Test (JEE) (Main) Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) or Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) or The Candidate should have appeared in all the subjects in PCM MHT-CET 2026 and obtained non zero score in PCM MHT-CET 2026 conducted by the Competent Authority:

    Provided that preference shall be given to the candidate obtaining non zero positive score in Joint Entrance Test (JEE) (Main) Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) or Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) over the candidates who obtained non zero score in PCM MHT CET 2026;

    (There candidates are eligible to apply for all 29 major disciplines declared by AICTE)

OR

  1. (iii) The candidate should have passed 10+2 examination or its equivalent examination with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with Mathematics or Biotechnology or Biology or Technical Vocational subject or Computer Science or Information Technology or Informatics Practices or Agriculture or Engineering Graphics or Business Studies or Electronics or Entrepreneurship and obtained at least forty five per cent. marks (at least forty per cent. marks, in case of Reserved categories, Economically Weaker Section and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only) in the above subjects taken together and obtained non zero positive score in Joint Entrance Test (JEE) (Main) Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) or Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) or National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) or the candidate should have appeared in all the subjects in MHT-CET 2026 (PCM or PCB) and obtained non zero score in MHT-CET 2026 conducted by the Competent Authority is eligible for admissions to the Courses under following major disciplines declared by relevant Appropriate Authority or All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), namely:-
    • (a) Agriculture Engineering;
    • (b) Biotechnology;
    • (c) Food Engineering;
    • (d) Leather Technology;
    • (e) Packaging Technology;
    • (f) Pharmaceutical Engineering;
    • (g) Printing Engineering;
    • (h) Fashion Technology; or
    • (i) Textile Chemistry:
    Provided that, preference shall be given to the candidate obtaining non zero positive score in Joint Entrance Test (JEE) (Main) Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) or Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) or National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) over the candidates who obtained non zero score in MHT-CET 2026;
  2. (iv) The candidate should have passed minimum three years Diploma in Engineering and Technology and obtained at least forty five per cent. marks (at least forty per cent. marks, in case of Reserved categories, Economically Weaker Section and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only) ;
  3. (v) Passed three years Diploma of Vocation (D.Voc.) Stream in the same or allied sector;

and

Any other eligibility conditions and requirements declared from time to time by the appropriate authority as defined under the Act.


Direct Second Year (Lateral Entry) – Engineering /Technology (3 Years duration)

For Maharashtra State Candidature Candidate and All India Candidature Candidate.-

The candidate,-

  1. (i) should be a citizen of India;
  2. (ii) should have passed minimum three years or two years (Lateral Entry) Diploma Course in Engineering and Technology with at least forty five per cent. marks ( at least forty per cent. marks in case of Candidates of Reserved categories, Economically Weaker Section and Persons with Disability category belonging to Maharashtra State) in any branch of Engineering and Technology from an All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) or Central Government or State Government approved Institution or its equivalent;

OR

  1. (iii) should have passed B.Sc. Degree from a University Grants Commission (UGC) or Association of Indian Universities recognized University with at least forty five per cent. marks ( at least forty per cent. marks in case of candidates of Reserved categories, Economically Weaker Section and Persons with Disability category belonging to Maharashtra State) and passed HSC or its equivalent examination with Mathematics as a subject;
  2. (iv) should have passed three years D.Voc. Stream in the same or allied sector; and
  3. (v) Any other eligibility criteria and requirement declared from time to time by the appropriate authority as defined under the Act.

Engineering and Technology (M.E./M.Tech.) ( 2 Years duration )

(1) For Maharashtra Candidature Candidate and All India Candidature Candidate.-

  1. (i) The Candidate should be a citizen of India;
  2. (ii) The candidate should have passed Bachelor Degree in the relevant field of Engineering and Technology or Pharmacy from All India Council for Technical Education or Central or State Government approved institutions or equivalent, with at least fifty per cent. marks (at least forty five per cent. marks in case of candidates of Reserved categories, Economically Weaker Section and Persons with Disability category belonging to Maharashtra State);
  3. (iii) The candidate should have passed Bachelor Degree in the relevant course of Engineering and Technology or Pharmacy as specified in the eligibility criteria for admission to a Post Graduate Degree course of the concerned University for which admission is being sought;
  4. (iv) The candidate should have obtained Qualified score in Graduates Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) conducted by the Indian Institute of Technology and valid for the current academic year;

OR

  1. (v) The candidate should have obtained non-Qualified marks in Graduates Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) conducted by the Indian Institute of Technology for the current academic year;
  2. (vi) The candidate should have obtained Qualified score in Graduates Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) conducted by National Testing Agency and valid for the current academic year;
  3. (vii) The candidate should have obtained non-Qualified marks in Graduates Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) conducted by National Testing Agency for the current academic year;
  4. (viii) For sponsored candidates, minimum of two years of full time work experience in a registered firm or company or industry or educational and or research institute or any Government Department or Government Autonomous Organization in the relevant field in which admission is being sought;
  5. (iX) The candidate should have minimum of two years of full time work experience in a registered firm or company or industry or educational and or research institute or any Government Department or Government Autonomous Organization in the relevant field in which admission is being sought; (These candidates shall be eligible for admission at institute level only);
  6. (X) The GATE or GPAT Qualified Candidates shall have preference over the GATE or GPAT not Qualified candidates and thereafter preference shall be given to the candidates not appeared for GATE or GPAT.

Under Graduate Courses in Computer Application (BCA) (3/4 years)

(1) Maharashtra State Candidature Candidate

The candidate,-

  1. (i) should be a citizen of India;
  2. (ii) should have passed 10+2 examination with eligibility as per the Admission Policy of the Affiliating University and obtained non zero score in MAH - BCA/BBA/BMS/BBM CET-2026 conducted by the Competent Authority;

OR

  1. (iii) should have passed AICTE approved Diploma in Commercial Practice or equivalent.

(2) All India Candidature Candidates, Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir and Union Territory of Ladakh Migrant Candidature Candidates.-

The candidate,-

  1. (i) should be a citizen of India;
  2. (ii) should have passed 10+2 examination with eligibility as per the Admission Policy of the Affiliating University and obtained non zero positive scorein Common University Entrance Test (CUET) Under Graduate (UG) or obtained non-zero score in MAH - BCA/BBA/BMS/BBM CET-2026 conducted by the Competent Authority:

    Provided that, preference shall be given to the candidate obtained non zero positive score in Common University Entrance Test (CUET) Under Graduate (UG)over the candidates obtained non zero score in MAH - BCA/BBA/BMS/BBM CET-2026 conducted by the Competent Authority;

OR

  1. (iii) should have passed All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) approved Diploma in Commercial Practice or equivalent;

Under Graduate Courses in Management (BBA/BMS/BBM ETC.) (3/4 years duration)

(1) Maharashtra State Candidature Candidate.-

The candidate,-

  1. (i) should be a citizen of India;
  2. (ii) should have passed 10+2 examination with eligibility as per the Admission Policy of the Affiliating University and obtained non zero score in the MAH - BCA/BBA/BMS/BBM CET-2026 conducted by the Competent Authority.

(2) All India Candidature Candidates, Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir and Union Territory of Ladakh Migrant Candidature Candidates.-

The candidate,-

  1. (i) should be a citizen of India;
  2. (ii) should have passed 10+2 examination with eligibility as per the Affiliating University Admission Policy and obtained non zero positive score in Common University Entrance Test (CUET) Under Graduate (UG)or obtained non zero score in MAH - BCA/BBA/BMS/BBM CET- 2026 conducted by the Competent Authority:

    Provided that, preference shall be given to the candidate obtained non zero positive score in Common University Entrance Test (CUET) Under Graduate (UG)over the candidates obtained non zero score MAH - BCA/BBA/BMS/BBM CET-2026 conducted by the Competent Authority.
