About ADCET–AICTE IDEA Lab

The AICTE–IDEA (Idea Development, Evaluation & Application) Lab is an initiative of All India Council for Technical Education to nurture innovation and hands-on learning in AICTE-approved institutions.
At Annasaheb Dange College of Engineering and Technology (ADCET), Ashta, the IDEA Lab serves as a common, state-of-the-art facility where students transform classroom knowledge into real-world applications. The lab promotes experiential learning through “learning by doing,” enabling students to design, prototype, test, and refine innovative products grounded in STEM fundamentals.
Aligned with the vision of Government of India and the National Education Policy 2020, the IDEA Lab empowers students and faculty to engage, explore, experience, express, and excel. It cultivates essential 21st-century skills such as critical thinking, problem-solving, design thinking, collaboration, communication, and lifelong learning.

For Students (UG/PG/Projects/Internships)

Innovation & Prototyping: Development of 10–15 prototypes per semester and participation in national-level hardware expos.
Enhanced Learning: Strengthened problem-solving skills and exposure to coding competitions and industry-driven challenges.
Research & Intellectual Property: Opportunity to contribute 4–6 research papers and 1–2 design patents annually.
Internships: More than 50% internship participation through mandatory 4.5-credit industry internships.

Sustainability Plan Beyond Two Years

To ensure long-term sustainability, ADCET will:

Establish a Dedicated Fund: Allocate institutional resources and secure external funding.
Revenue Generation: Offer consultancy, workshops, and training programs for external organizations.
Industry Collaboration: Strengthen partnerships for sponsorships, projects, and technical support.
Alumni Engagement: Leverage alumni contributions for mentorship, funding, and networking.

The IDEA Lab actively supports national missions aimed at building an Aatma Nirbhar Bharat. It aligns with:
