The Central Library of Annasaheb Dange College of Engineering and Technology (ADCET), Ashta, organised an IEEE Orientation Session for Third-Year Engineering Students on 12th Oct. 2026 at the college. The objective of this activity was to familiarise students with IEEE resources and guide them in accessing and effectively using technical research papers, journals, conference publications, and other valuable academic resources for their projects, assignments, and research work. The session was conducted by an invited expert Mr. Gaurav Vinayak Date, who explained the importance of IEEE resources and demonstrated how students can make effective use of these resources for their academic and professional development. The session covered various important topics, including understanding the institution’s subscribed IEEE resources and accessing them effectively; discovering relevant journals, conference papers, standards, and emerging technology content; and learning hands-on search strategies using filters, citation tools, saved searches, and alerts for projects and literature reviews. The expert also explained how IEEE resources can support academic assignments, final-year projects, technical presentations, higher studies, and placement preparation. An interactive knowledge quiz was conducted to reinforce students’ understanding of the session, and giveaways were presented to the quiz winners. The session provided valuable guidance to students on making effective use of IEEE resources for their academic and professional development. The programme was organised with the valuable support and permission of Dr. L. Y. Waghmode, Director, Dr. S. Gopinath, Dean Academics and Chairman of the Library Committee, and the Library Committee. The college extends its sincere gratitude to the invited expert, HODs, faculty members, and students for their participation and cooperation in making the programme successful. The Central Library remains committed to promoting awareness and effective utilisation of subscribed e-resources among students and faculty members.
